The club shall be known as Littlemore Angling Society. Headquarters will be at the George Inn, Public House, Littlemore, Oxford . OBJECTIVES Encourage interest in angling and sportsmanship, and to provide facilities for anglers to participate regularly. MEMBERSHIP Membership is open to all anglers. MEMBERSHIP PRICES 2021-22
It is an offence to fish on Littlemore Angling Society waters without a permit. This is Trespass. Any angler challenged without a permit, will be either asked to leave or pay an additional £5 on top of a day ticket or permit. COMMITTEE The following shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Match Secretary. Water Keepers and Committee shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting each year. MEETINGS The Chairman shall conduct meetings, which will be at Headquarters on the first Saturday on the following months April, June, August, October, December and February or otherwise when required. If the Chairman is unavailable the Committee shall elect a Chairman for the meeting. Meetings shall be open to all members. Members cannot vote at these meetings. EMERGENCY MEETINGS In the event of an Emergency meeting being called, decisions shall be binding to all members. Members can vote at these meetings. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The Annual General Meeting will be held on the first Sunday after the 15th March. PROPOSALS FOR RULES All proposals for Rules must be in writing and in the possession of the Secretary, 28 days before the Annual General Meeting. CLOSED SEASON The River Closed Season runs from 15th March to 15th June
ROD LICENCE All members fishing Littlemore A.S. waters must be in the possession of a current Environment Agency Rod Licence. Any member found not in the possession of a current Rod Licence will be suspended from Littlemore A.S. waters until they can prove they have a Licence. Any member convicted in a Court of Law for failure to produce a current Rod Licence on Littlemore A.S. waters or matches will be banned for Life. EQUIPMENT

COMPLAINTS All complaints made against the Club, or any member, must be in writing and given to a Committee member. The person making that complaint will be asked to attend the earliest Committee Meeting to hear the result of that complaint. NIGHT FISHING Night fishing is only permitted on the Weir Streams. Night Fishing Permit is only available through the Secretary. The Permit can be purchased via the website or postal application. Night Fishing Rules
JUNIOR ANGLERS A responsible adult must accompany all anglers under 16 years of age.
FISH REMOVAL All fish to be returned alive to the water Fish deaths must be reported No fish to be taken away alive or dead without the express permission of the owner, to do so may give rise to a civil prosecution or criminal prosecution under Schedule 1 section 2 of the Theft Act. Any member found deliberately abusing Club Rules, could have their Card suspended for the rest of the season, or removed without refund DISSOLUTION If at any General meeting of the Society a resolution be passed calling for dissolution of the Society, the Secretary shall immediately convene an Extraordinary General Meeting. The meeting will be held not less than one month thereafter to discuss and vote on the resolution. If at that Extraordinary General Meeting the resolution is carried by at least two thirds of the full Members present, the General Committee shall thereupon, or at such date specified, proceed to release the assets of the Society and discharge all debts and liabilities of the Society. After discharging all debts and liabilities of the Society, the remaining assets shall not be paid or distributed amongst the members of the Society, but shall be given or transferred to some other voluntary organisations having objects similar to those of the Society
