Steve Isaac wrapped up the 2025/26 natch season with a well earned win at Lakeview. Fishing was very hard and he managed to catch 6 small carp on the feeder with wafter. Brian Hutchings was second with a net of perch and carp caught on the pole with pinkie. Alan Campbell had a solitary carp on the pole with maggot

An overnight frost put the fish into spawning mood. There were plenty of carp cruising about but none were really feeding. Alan Campbell caught short at 5m with maggot. He had a bream and a few stockie carp. Terry Yates and Steve Isaac had a solitary carp on the worm for 2nd and 3rd respectively.

It was a hard match for most on the canal, but a change in light saw a few anglers snare a few perch in a funny hour. Alan Campbell only had a few bleak, when he hooked 2 big perch on the worm to win the match. Steve Isaac also had a big perch and bleak for second. Chris Webb was third with a good net of bleak and a perch.

Steve Johnson won the M Whipp Cup with a late flurry of carp caught short. The wind was Baltic for most of the day but when it dropped, anglers on the far bank picked off the feeding fish. Steve had a good net of silvers and several small carp, all on maggot. Steve Isaac was second with all carp taken on the method feeder. A late change to the method feeder earned Nick Collier 3rd place.

Last match of Aggregate Cup was won by Steve Johnson, who also won the overall series. Steve started off slow, but a switch to maggot late in the match kept the F1s coming for the match win. Danny Bryant was second also fishing short with maggot on the pole. Stu Yates third place saw him claim second in the series.

Peg 2 is one of the most consistent at Sandford and it didn't disappoint again. Malcolm Smith was lucky to draw it and won the Secretary's Cup. He fished the waggler with hemp and tares and had a great net of roach and chublets.Chris Webb was second using the same tactics. Steve Pitson finished third catching mostly in the first hour. It was a hard day for most of the anglers though. Rain is desperately.

Venue knowledge for Steve Johnson, claimed the second round of the Aggregate Cup. He fished short on the pole to put 25lb of silvers in the net. He then added 52lb of carp taken on the method feeder also close in. Kevin Dolton didn't register a fish until 3 hours in, then he had a good run of carp and skimmers on the method. Stuart Yates was 3rd with some big carp taken on the method.
